These motors are equipped with an internal protector. Wait 10 minutes before using.
a) The emercency button is pushed down.

a) The emergency button must be pulled up to start the engine of the rotary tiller.

Spring stretched.
Check spring. Replace if stretched.
a) Rotary tiller was engaged when the tines were blocked with debris.
b) Lack of tension on belt.
a) Make sure the tines are not blocked with debris before engaging rotary tiller.
b) Replace the tension spring if it has lost its efficiency.
a) Tines are damaged or too many rocks.
b) Turnbuckles are loose.
a) replace bent or damaged tines. Remove any rocks from tilling area.
b) Tighten the turn buckles.

c) A group of tines may be packed up.

Always till at a slow steady speed. Make more than one pass. Start by a shallow pass then gradually deeper. Replace damaged or bent tines.
